Seaside days out couldn’t be closer, just a ten-minute walk away from Min-Y-Don Holiday Home Park lies the wonderful Harlech beach. A designated National Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Harlech beach is as a vast and unspoilt seafront on the Cardigan Coast. One of the best things about Harlech beach is that you can enjoy any type of seaside day out. You can enjoy a day of fishing, or you can lie back on this expansive beach and relax and unwind.

Wildlife

You can safely swim in the waters on Harlech beach, and during the summer months you’ll see leatherback turtles which have migrated from warmer climates. Wildlife thrives in this area, with the Morfa Harlech Nature Reserve just to the north of the beach where you’ll find rare plant species and birdlife.

Barmouth Beach

A short drive from your sited caravan is the popular Barmouth beach. This expansive beach boasts miles of golden sands looking out over Cardigan Bay, offset by spectacular views of the mountains in Snowdonia National Park. This ‘coastal meets countryside resort’ is ideal for anyone who loves the best of both worlds. The harbour here is popular place too, you can walk across the imposing Barmouth Bridge and enjoy the stunning, unparalleled views of Mawddach estuary and harbour.

Cardigan Bay

You might even be lucky enough to spot some of the Cardigan Bay Dolphins on your way, a perfect addition to an already stunning, seascape stroll. A star-gazers haven, Barmouth has little light pollution so if you stick around after a day enjoying the seaside you can watch the sunset across the horizon and wait for the stars to light up the sky.
