What to see and do at Min y Don

Whatever the weather, or your interests, there is always something to do at Min y Don.

The wonderful Harlech beach with it's huge expanse of clean, golden sand is only five minutes level walk from the park - great for summer sun or breezy autumn walks.  The world famous Royal St. David golf course, one of the finest traditional championship links courses in the world, is just  opposite the park entrance .

Harlech Leisure centre, with it's swimming pool, badminton courts and fitness centre is also a short walk from the park.

The picturesque town of Harlech, with it's imposing 13th Century castle, is a short (but energetic) walk up the hill from the park.  The castle itself is always worth a visit and the town has many cafes, little shops and restaurants.

The spectacular Italianate village Portmeirion  is only 20 minutes drive away, as are the Festiniog and Welsh Highland Railways - two of the "great little trains of Wales".

The bustling seaside town of Barmouth nearby, with it's many shops and traditional seaside amusements, is a short drive away to the south.

If you like walking and wildlife the area abounds with great walks, including the impressive Roman Steps,  and you may catch sight of the pod of dolphins that live in Cardigan Bay.  If you like mountain biking then there are many great tracks in the nearby Snowdonia National Park

There are just a few of the things to see and do near Min y Don - every time you come you're sure to discover something different.  If all this sounds too energetic then why not come to Min y Don to just relax and unwind ? - it's perfect for that too.
